Obama Babies Watch

I love the Obama girls. My favorite, although against popular opinion, is Malia. Sasha's great and all, but I feel like the child-version of me relates to Malia better. Plus, she's got GREAT outfits.

Most importantly, they had an exciting time moving in to their new home. On Wednesday night, the Huffington Post repots, the Obama girls got to run around the White House and explore all its nooks and crannies. Then, when they opened their bedroom door, they found THE JONAS BROTHERS behind it! WHAT?! Now, I'm not a Jonas afficianado, but I'm assuming this would be like if I had found Nick Carter behind my bedroom door when I was ten. Sheer and utter MADNESS!

Finally, the girls went back to school today after being allowed a day to rest up after Tuesday's wild RAGER. I wonder if they each have their own secret service agent who is tough, but secretly lovable and cuddly, and who helps them with their homework on their way to school in the limo. That's what I would hope being a president's daughter would entail.

More Obama Children updates soon.

Even Brits like to "Supersoak Dat Ho"

There's a genius new Flash Mob commercial out right now. English people dancing in the Liverpool station to such gems as "Don't Cha?", "Get Down on It", "Lollipop", and "Twist and Shout". GENIUS! It makes me believe that my dream of spontaneous choreography in ordinary life will someday come true!! Too bad it's all to sell phones, but it's still great stuff.

It reminds me of the fantastic stuff from this group:

Mmm yummy!

Last week I had happy hour with some pals at a new place on 10th (across from Aveda in the building that they've been renovating for like, EONS). It's called Oddfellow's Cafe. It was an old Oddfellow's Hall, hence the name. The food's great ($6 mac and cheese!!!), they have interesting beer choices, and a really relaxed--without being too casual--atmosphere. Our waiter was very nice and a fellow Oregonian, and he told us that they just opened during the snowstorm, but weather aside, they have been doing good buisness. The place reminds me of a less pretentious Presse. That's not to diss on Presse, because God knows I love my frites, but at Oddfellow's I don't have to experience the shame of mispronouncing some dish and having it turn out to be a simple tomato salad. So that's a plus. It's a really interesting mix of high end food and like, Broadway Grill late-night happy hour fare. I left very happy! A+!

BLERG!

Ever since I saw the 10 second clip of Tracy Morgan's "30 Rock" character Tracy Jordan performing his hit "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah" on an episode, I've wanted to hear the whole song.

MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED! The video is basically cut-and-paste pics of Jewish boys and werewolves, but whatevs--the lyrics exceed all my wildest expectations and more than make up for the video quality. Plus it references Harvey Lemmings and Dotcom and Grizz do voiceovers. THANK ELOHIM FOR THIS BAR MITZVAH MIRACLE!
