Colin Meloy Covers

Why, might you ask? Portland, acoustic guitars, classic songs, that slightly nasal voice, and surprising adaptations. Although I have a soft spot for most of the original versions of these fine tunes, Mr. Meloy gives them a certain special something. When he performs them live, you often get witty comments such as, "This is a sad, modern campfire song. You'd put out the fire using tears with this one", in reference to his Morrissey cover. Favorites include:
